MSME Agra

MSME Agra is a Technology Development Centre established under the purview of DCMSME office. Like the other technology centres set up across the country MSME Agra focuses on providing consultancy services to MSMEs for business growth and boosting technological innovation within the small businesses of Agra.

About MSME Agra

MSME Agra is officially called Process and Product Development Centre (PPDC), Agra. It was established with assistance from UNDP/UNIDO and Government of UP to support Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises across the country with special focus on Foundry, Forging, and Engineering Clusters.

Initially, it was set up under the control Small Industries Development Organisation, Government of India, and later converted into an autonomous body. After the implementation of the MSME ACT, the name was changed to PPDC Agra.

PPDC functions under the administrative control of the Governing Council. The Additional Secretary & Development Commissioner (MSME), Ministry of MSME, Government of India is the Chairman of the Governing Council.

• Common facilities services including:

1. Foundry: Helps with the manufacture of carbon, low and high alloy steels including corrosion and heat resistant steels, aluminium and copper alloys and development and supply of metallic, wooden and epoxy patterns. It also helps with investment casting of intricate products.

Equipped with Shell Core Shooter (Horizontal) parting line- 250×250 mm, Make: Span, Pune

Equipped with semi-automatic Molding Machine-plate size-640×400 mm, Make: Span, Pune

2. Forge shop – Helps with the development of critical forged components for automobiles, defense, agricultural and engineering industries, open die forgings, such as shafts, gears, blanks, tools, etc.

Equipped with Friction Drop Hammer 1 ton capacity, Make: NSE

Equipped with Pneumatic Power Hammer- 500 kgs. capacity, Make NSE

Equipped with Trimming press 120 Ton capacity

Equipped with Automatic Band saw machine – 245 mm capacity

Equipped with Billet Shearing Machine – 75 mm capacity

Equipped with gas fired forging furnaces.

4. Heat treatment: Helps with normalising, annealing, stress relieving, hardening & tempering of engineering components, heat treatment of aluminum and copper alloy components and salt bath heat treatment

Equipped with Electric furnace 1300°C(F.A.C.), FAC pit furnace 750°C(F.A.C.), low temperature oven 350 °C and CNG salt bath furnace.

5. Machine shop: Helps with precision machining of engineering components, dies for sheet metal and forged components.

Equipped with EDM machine -C 60, 600 x 400 mm – Make Toolcraft

Equipped with Milling, Surface Grinding and lathe machines – Make HMT & PRAGA

Equipped with Radial Drill Machine
