Step 1: Visit the official website for Udyam registration

Step 2: Navigate to the option ‘Print/Verify’ given in the homepage

Step 3: Hover your mouse on ‘Print/Verify’

Step 4: Click on ‘Print Udyam certificate’

Step 5: Enter your 16-digit Udyam Registration Number and your phone number on the page that appears

Step 6: Choose either OTP on Mobile as filled in application or OTP on email

Step 7: Click on ‘Validate and generate OTP’

Step 8: Select the ‘Print’ option displayed on the page

  • The Udyam registration portal asks businesses to fill in a longer application form requiring details of income tax and GST. Udyog Aadhaar on the other hand features a one-page form.
  • Udyog Aadhaar application only requires the applicant’s Aadhaar card and PAN number, and it provides instant self-certification as per old MSME criteria. In contrast, Udyam Registration only requires the applicant’s Aadhaar card and provides verified certification per new MSME criteria.
