What is DC MSME?

The full form of DC MSME is Development Commissioner of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. It falls under the Ministry of MSMEs, Government of India.

This division is created to assist the ministry in formulating, coordinating, implementing and monitoring different policies to foster the growth of MSMEs. Additionally, it develops various programmes and initiatives for the promotion and development of MSMEs.

Here are some of the key objectives of DC MSME:

• Implementing various policies and programmes
• Facilitating access to finance, technology, and market opportunities for MSMEs.
• Providing training and skill development programs to enhance the capabilities of MSME.
• Promoting entrepreneurship and innovation in the MSME sector.
• Monitoring and evaluating the performance of MSMEs and identify areas for improvement and support.

In order to achieve the objectives, DC MSME has a countrywide network of common facilities and assistance for MSMEs. This network includes:

• 32 Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises -Development Institutes (MSME-Dls)
• 27 Branch MSME Dis
• 4 MSME Testing Centres
• 7 MSME Testing Stations
• 18 Technology Centres

DC MSME: Schemes

As mentioned earlier, DC MSME implements various schemes introduced by the Ministry of MSME, Government of India. Here are some of the key schemes that DC MSEM is implementing:

• Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP)
