In order to appreciate, the efforts of the best performing micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), Development Commissioner, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises confer National Awards on deserving MSMEs. These awards are given to companies in manufacturing as well as service industry. A National Level Selection Committee (NLSC) selects the deserving enterprise in the below categories:

What are the eligibility criteria for submitting entries for National Awards?

  • The applying company should be an MSME and fit in the new classification of MSMEs.
  • MSMEs should be in operation at least for the past four years.
  • Qualifying marks, as per the criteria for consideration by the NLSC is 60% (50% in case of SC/ST, PH and NER including Sikkim entrepreneur)

What is the nomination process for the National Awards?

The Development Commissioner, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises invites applications to be submitted every year. It is an online process. Each nomination has to be submitted with self-assessment.

What is the selection process for National Awards winners?

MSME-Development Institute (MSME-DI) of the respective state goes through each entry submitted through the online process. These entries are then forwarded to State Level Selection Committee (SLSC). SLSC recommends deserving entries to NLSC for consideration for the award.
